Another Year [Open]

Dinner had passed and people had gone up to their dorms. Zara had decided to come down from the common room and headed along the corridors. It had been a long day even though she had done nothing. There was an influx of new students and such. Timetables would arrive in the morning and students would be back in full swing.

Bare foot, she made her way down the large marble staircase. The great oak doors that lead out onto the grounds. She walked out and sat on the steps that lead to the grounds. It was dark now. The stars were slowly coming out. Another year was beginning at Hogwarts and Zara wasn't exactly sure what she felt about it.

Jerad had been bored up in the commonrooms after dinner. He had already finished his eassays and his rounds wasn't until later. So he decided to roam around. It was easy to get lost in the building when your mind is stuck on other things in your life. Jerad knew that oh too well... so it wasn't much of a surprise for the young ravenclaw to have found himself all the way down to the Entrance hall.

He creapt out the doors and a grin spread across his face. it was one of his besties. "Good evening Zara... how are you today?" He wondered if she knew about the fact that he had met someone that he had wished that he had never met.

Zara jumped as she heard a voice and turned around quickly drawing her wand. It was a natural reaction but on seeing who it was she lowered her wand arm and smiled broadly. "Jerad!" Zara said a little too excited. On calming she said. "I... I'm ok. How are you?" Zara returned the question.

She moved so the were both next to each other. It was odd but over the summer she had managed to set all thoughts of him aside. However now that she was standing there in front of him suddenly her heart was in her throat and every part of her wanted to hug him and not let go. Jerad had slowly become the person she confided in and the person that she wanted to spend a lot of time with.

Jerad grinned at her. He was happy to see her there. He couldn't help it, he held off long enough... He went and gave her a hug. He had missed her immensely over the summer. He hated the fact that he couldn't see her every day during the summer. It really bummed him out. but upon seeing her, he had to hug her. "I am great... especially after seeing you here. " Jerad said with a kooky grin. He reluctantly broke the hug after a while before saying, "How was your summer?" He was always interested in her summers and her days...

Jerad hugged her and Zara felt at home within an instant. The familiar feel and smell. After they sttopped hugging she smiled at him. Always managed to knock away that cold wall she had without any trouble. "Summer was dull as usual. Just spent it with Jason down in Knockturn Alley." Zara said with a shrug. This summer had been a flop but next summer she had already made plans with Anna and that she was pleased about. "How was yours?"

Jerad smiled softly at her. he wondered to himself, why couldn't his life be easy. he sighed gently at the thought that he had and paid attention to Zara as she spoke. "i wish you could have came with us over the summer... it would have made it even better. but It was interesting, spent summer with the guys... visiting some of Jay and Benny's extended families in the US... and we got to play a few concerts but only around the neighborhood... nothing big yet."

Zara listened and grinned, "That's amazing Jerad." So what if it was only small gigs it was still amazing. She was glad that the boys had stuck together and were doing something they liked. "It won't be long before you are doing bigger things over seas. I can see it." With that Zara winked. He knew she was a seer. Although nothing had been clear, she had seen the boys older and still together and so she trusted that they would make it big one day.

Jerad nodded and said "oh yes... it was loads of fun, but as i said earlier, i wish you were there." He meant that with his whole heart. He did wish that she was around more often. which was bad, because he had feelings for her when he shouldn't... He couldn't act on them... He chuckled at what Zara said and he said, "i'd bet on it" he winked back at her about that. He knew that she was a seer... but he wasn't going to always rely on what she sees... because the future was a fluid thing. always changing for sure. "guess what ! i and Jay both made prefect!" he said excitedly. He honestly didn't know how either one got it, but oh well.

Zara felt a small blush come to her cheeks. She wished she could be around more often. Anything to spend more time with Jerad. She continued to listen to him and with a grin she shook her head. "Oh no. They trusted you two." Of course she was only teasing as she knew the boys could be serious when they wanted, even though most of the time they stuck to being scoundrels. "Really, that is great news." Zara said finally. "Which reminds me, are you still playing Quidditch this year? I just so happened to have be asked to captain."

Jerad laughed softly and said, "scary thought eh? but i think i can do a good job... if i put my mind to it. " He flashed a grin. He could be very strict at times... but he mostly was a playful person. He knew how pranksters and troublemakers are, because hell, he is one. He stuck his pin on to prove it. He was actually proud of himself for it.

He nodded."of course i am still playing Quidditch... Why would i give up on playing a game that i have passion for... and give away a chance to hang out with one of my favorite people... hell no. " he grinned widely and said, "OMG... Congrats Zara! you definitely deserved it!"
