Rochelle was still finding her footing her. At least she'd managed not to get lost every time she stepped out of the common room now. Her English was slightly better and she was gaining some friends here and there. Benji was being great, Benny was nice, Jay was... well tolerant of her and Annabelle was nicer after she'd helped her get better after that attack.
Even Jerad's sister had taken a small liking to her. But the one that counted still would hardly give her the time of day. Jerad was fighting tooth and nail. She'd tried to be herself, like Benji had told her to, but Jerad still wasn't noticing.
His eyes were on someone else. Rochelle had found that out recently. She had mentioned the upcoming Halloween ball. She wanted to go, and with him, as it should be. But he told her he had already asked someone else.
Rochelle was feeling mopey after that. How was she supposed to gain her future husband's affection when all his affection was going to someone else? Trying to make him jealous wouldn't work... it could jepardize the arrangement and that was something she could not do. No she would just have to grin and bare it.
The girl sat at a window sill of a tower, watching students down below playing games and having fun.

Zara made her way up to the bell tower quietly. In her pale hands was a clear crystal ball. As of late she had not let her visions bother her too much, Zara was much to focused on the upcoming ball and the fact that it would be a night to spend with Jerad. However she also knew that pushing her visions aside would end up being a bad choice and so she had come up to the tower for some peace so that she could attept to get a clearer picture.
As she got to the top of the stairs she moved into the tower and towards the window. As Zara got closer she saw that someone was already there. "Hello." she said quietly. It did not bother her that she was here with a crystal ball in her hands and someone else was there. If people asked she merely said she had an interest in Divination.

Rochelle looked away from the window, finally, thank goodness, she'd been getting dizzy and nausious. There was a girl there, holding a crystal ball. Rochelle smiled at her. "Bonjour." Sure, she English was better, but she still spoke French now and again. Everyone knew that bonjour meant hello, right?
"Divination homework?" she asked curiously. Any distraction would be nice right now so she wouldn't look out the window again. If the girl needed a subject she would be happy to help. But if she did, why did she come up here alone in the first place.
Perhaps Rochelle shouldn't have said anything besides hello.

The girl looked away from the window and Zara almost dropped the crystal ball. Her visions had conerned two people that she did not know. This girl was one of them. As much as Zara wanted to outright ask her who she was and if they had any connection she said nothing and instead heard the reply that came in French. A transfer student by the sounds of it.
"Huh? Oh! Yeah Divination homework." Zara nodded at her. "Just wanted somewhere peaceful to really get into it." Zara told her with a shrug. "Any reason why your up here, or is it the peace?" Zara asked her with a small smile.

Rochelle brushed her bangs out of her face and smiled and nodded. "Yes, the peace. Though I don't know why... I'm rather frightened of heights." Open honesty, being who she was and she was scared of heights.
She moved off the window sill and stood off to the side so she couldn't look down to the ground anymore. "I'll leave so you can have your peace and finish your homework though... no one should be stuck inside today. It is pretty outside."

Zara laughed, "Fair enough. I love heights. The higher the better, especially on a broom." Zara told her simply. She watched her and Zara then said, "No. Don't go." Zara wanted to know who she was. "Look, I'm sorry about this but you look awfully familiar. Do I know you?" Zara asked her. Maybe they had met before and Zara was being dull not remembering.

Rochelle realized that this girl was a memeber of the Guidditch team. She'd watched them practice, only because Anna wanted to watch and she was keeping an eye on the girl for Jamie when he couldn't be there.
"You're good on a broom." She smiled. "I watched the team practice a few days back." She loved the game... but could never play it. She didn't like heights and brooms didn't help.
To her question Rochelle shook her head. "I don't think so. I just transferred here this year." She would have held out a hand to shake, but as the other girl's hands were full, she decided against it. "Rochelle Blanc."

Zara beamed at her. "Thank you." Zara said to her. She was proud of her Quidditch skills. At the end of the day she was the captain and she was going to whip the team into shape and make them win the cup whether it killed her.
The girl confirmed that she was a transfer and Zara shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you Rochelle. I'm Zara O'Riley. Resident Ravenclaw." She gaveher house as extra information incase the girl ever needed to find her.

"You're welcome." Rochelle smiled. "Ah...." Anna tended to talk Rochelle's ear off about her best friend. Why she wasn't the one watching after Annabelle after the atack, Rochelle didn't know, but whatever. In truth, Anna had been trying to keep Zara and Rochelle from meeting. Because she knew it would be bad for both of them.
"Gryffindor," she added. Telling the house was something Rochelle didn't really get. Should it really matter? She shook Zara's hand.

"A Gryffindor. Fair enough."[/color[ Zara said. Benji was bound to know of her then. "How do you like Hogwarts?" Zara asked her. She leaned over the window sill and looked out at the grounds. There were a few people she knew around the place.

Rochelle took a deep breath. "It is much to get used to." She nodded. "But I like it. The classes are good and the teachers... I get along with... most of the students." She let out a little laugh. "The Slytherin's are a bit hard to get on with...." Not to mention her fiance. Yeah, she wasn't going to mention that.
"Could I help you with your homework?" she asked. "Not that I know much about divination. I mean... I could be your subject."

Nodding Zara understood and said, "Some of the Slytherins can be decent, but it's hard. And with you being a Gryffindor.... it'll be even harder. It's an old house rivalry." Zara go on with a few of the Slytherins due to her dabbling in the dark arts and her brother being pro death eater.
Zara then looked at the crystal ball she was still holding. "You know that would actually be great." Zara told her. She would be happy to use the girl as a subject and see if she could get a clearer picture of what was going on. "If you don't mind taking a seat on the floor."

Rochelle bit her lip. "Oh... I see." It answered some questions she hadn't had a chance ot ask Benji yet. "Well, it's good that some can be above silly rivalries." In ten years who would care who was in what house anyway?
The girl smiled, happy to be of help and clinging to the idea of making another friend. She sat, carefully, on the floor. Sitting with her legs tucked in and to the side, very ladylike and smoothed out her skirt. "Is this alright?"

"Yeah that's fine." Zara joined her on the floor and sat the crystal ball between them before levitating it. "Just need to focus on you and then on this thing." Zara said. "Are you a Divination buff by the way?"[/color[ Zara asked out of curiousity. Some people loved the subject for the mere chance of gossip.

Rochelle settled in her spot, sitting still so the girl could focus. "No," she answered. "I'm more of a potions type." She smiled. "Not for the silly things like love potions and liquid luck... the useful ones... like Healers use." Medicinal potions.
If Rochelle had it her way she'd be a Healer. Hopefully she could have it her way.
